Join Mangrove Literary Journal’s seventh issue release on Thursday, April 16 at the College of Arts & Sciences Gallery at the University of Miami Coral Gables campus. Mangrove is a national undergraduate literary journal for writing and art. The Mangrove Staff will read from the new issue and, as always, there will be a rousing open mic session before and after the featured reading.
Mangrove issues will be available at USpeak for $10.
USpeak will take place at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 16th, at the CAS Gallery/Wesley House, 1210 Stanford Drive, Coral Gables. Doors open at 6:30. USpeak is an open mic event in a friendly environment where attendees can read their work, play their music, and listen to the art of others. Open mic slots are limited; arrive early if you intend to perform.
The USpeak Open Mic Flash Fiction & Poetry Performance Series, sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences, the English Department’s Creative Writing Program, and Mangrove Literary Journal is free and open to the public.
